Creating understanding.
It is important that police officers know that they are appreciated for protecting the community and that they have the tools necessary to continue doing so.
The Tori Lynn Andreozzi Foundation organizes focus groups that bring together law enforcement officers and community members, and supports citizens’ police academies – all in an effort to eliminate stigma, foster understanding, and recognize officers’ contributions.
The Foundation also actively engages in the legislative process to ensure that law enforcement officials have the laws in place that they need to do their jobs effectively, and provided funding for the production of the educational video “Over the Limit, Under Arrest”, which is used for training purposes at municipal and state police academies.
To support officers’ health and well-being, the Foundation helped give police officers round-the-clock access to the West Warwick Youth Center’s 24-hour fitness center.
